Join the Great Works Academy!

Thanks to great works, you will learn to get to know yourself and the world in a completely new way.Let yourself be carried away by the story and build your critical thinking, concentration and the ability to reason intelligently.

We read worthwhile stories, listen to good music, get to know significant paintings, watch quality films.

Thanks to this, we build friendships, get to know the world and ourselves, learn to communicate our opinions and look for answers to important questions.

How does it work?

  1. Preberáme kratšie, nadčasové diela. Príprava by ti nemala zabrať viac ako hodinu. Len polovica seminárov je s domácou prípravou.

  2. O dielach sa neučíme naspamäť, ale diskutujeme o dôležitých témach, ktoré otvárajú.

  3. Testujeme kritické myslenie a čitateľskú gramotnosť bez známkovania. Môžeš tak vidieť svoje zlepšenie.

  4. Máme vlastnú online knižnicu aj mobilnú aplikáciu. Nájdeš tam diela, prípravu a doplnkové materiály.

All practical information about the program in one place.

  • Pupils aged 13-15 years can 

     

  • Recruiting of students starts at the end of June.

     

  • The Academy Club may have 7 - 15 members aged 13-15 years.. 

     

  • Seminars in the Academy's clubs start at the beginning of the school year.

     

  • During the entire school year, students experience 11 discussion seminars.

     

  • Seminar lasts 90 minutes.
     

  • Each participant has access to the online library, which contains all the great works.

Program price

Thanks to our partners and received grants, the student's tuition is 89 euros for one school year.

This price includes

  • a modern online library with film, literature, music and art works for seminars including assignments, short preparation, supplementary materials and feedback.

  • 11 discussion seminars designed according to the model of the best foreign educational institutions, aimed at the development of critical thinking, reading literacy, concentration and the ability to discuss culturedly

  • final certificate

"I was very interested in the information about the Academy of Great Works for high school students. I am the mother of an almost 16-year-old daughter. The Academy of Great Works seems to me to be a great idea, because it is precisely through beauty in art that it is possible to explain the truths of life, the meaning of life, to teach how to think, ask questions, and make decisions.

It seems to me like a wonderful counterbalance to what they see around them on a daily basis, experience at school, from the media, social networks. It must be strength in the circle of peers, friends and teachers whom they respect. I wish I had a similar opportunity once!"

Student newsletter

Academy students receive a newsletter once a week with inspirations and offers for high school students. If you do not currently visit the Akadémie club but would not be interested in such content, it doesn't matter!
